Two-dimensional carbon nanosheets have been fabricated using inductively coupled radio frequency plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition. The structural properties of the nanosheets have been characterised using atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometer. The magnetisation of the samples was studied using vibrating sample magnetometer. The magnetisation of the nanosheets was found to be diamagnetic for fast synthesis processes (30 and 60 min). On the other hand, the nanosheets exhibited a weak ferromagnetic response for the slow (120 min) synthesis process. Energy dispersive spectrometry and atomic absorption spectroscopy confirmed that the magnetisation exhibited by the carbon nanosheets was an intrinsic property and that it was not due to contamination from the substrate. Raman spectroscopy studies revealed that the ferromagnetic carbon nanosheets have a higher ratio (1.20) of graphite peak (I G) to disordered peak (I D) than normally expected (0.75–0.90). Available data indicated that the magnetisation was due to the presence of structural disorders.  相似文献

The influent and effluent characteristics of river Ganga in the Hardwar-Narora sector in Uttar Pradesh, India was studied using environmental oxygen-18. δ18O of river water and also of groundwater close to the river course was monitored at 8 stations along the 220 km stretch for a period of ten months. δ18O of the river during the monsoon months (June to September) was about – 10 at all the stations. However, during the dry months from October to April, the δ18O of the river was enriched progressively from Hardwar to Narora. The enrichment indicated groundwater contribution to the river during the non-monsoon months. The contribution was comuted using the principle of isotope balance.  相似文献

Abstract

On radiolysis tris(acetylacetonato) cobalt(III) in aqueous solutions is found to get reduced by reaction with (1) hydrated electrons, (2) H atoms, (3) OH radicals and (4) C2H2OH radicals. The bimolecular rate constants for the first three reactions, determined by competition kinetics are: 4 × 1010, 2.3 × 109 and 4.7 × 109 M?1sec?1 respectively. Absorption spectra of the irradiated solutions indicate the formation of bis(acetylacetonato) cobalt(II) from reaction (1), but not from (3). The total cobaltous yield in air-free solutions is given byG(Co++) = 5.6 and 6.5 at pH 6.5 and 1 respectively. It appears that Geaq- ∽ H + GoH ∽ 2.8 in neutral solutions. Considerations of material balance for the primary yields of radiolysis of water suggest the possibility that the so-called independent H-atoms in neutral solutions are probably excited water molecules or ion-pairs.  相似文献

The discovery of synthetic pyrethroids with increased insecticidal activity and low mammalian toxicity led to abundance of new synthetic results in the chemistry of pyrethroids1 . Many of these methods adopted on an industrial scale make use of sigmatropic rearrangement, radical addition and nucleophilic ring closer with carbanions. Herein we report a simple and stereospecific route for the synthesis of ethyl trans-chrysanthernate (1) by utilizing carbonyl stabilized sulphuranes. Although the use of Sulphurane was demonstrated at a much earlier stage for the synthesis of methyl trans-chrysanthe-mate2, the present approach makes use of simple reagents and offers some operational advantages.  相似文献

Lead scandium phosphate glasses (PbO-Sc2O3-P2O5) containing different concentrations of tungsten oxide (WO3) ranging from 0 to 5 mol% were prepared. A number of studies, viz. differential thermal analysis (DTA), infrared spectra, optical absorption, and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra, have been carried out. The results of DTA indicated the highest glass forming ability for the glass containing 5 mol% of WO3. The results of spectroscopic studies have been analyzed in light of different oxidation states of tungsten ions.  相似文献

Abstract

We report X-ray diffraction, density, ultrasonic velocity and refractive index studies in the N(p-n-pentyloxy benzylidene) p-n-alkylaniline compounds, viz. 50.5, 50.6 and 50.7. The nematic-smectic A (NA) transition is found to be weak first order in 50.6 while it is second order in 50.5 and 50.7. The salient features observed are cybotactic clusters in the nematic phase in all the compounds, molecular tilt which was inferred due to the end alkyl chains tilt causing orienta-tional disorder (smaller orientational order parameters ‘s’ than expected) in smectic A phase, smectic F phase and large tilt angle variation in smectic C phase in a small temperature range in 50.5. The observed results are discussed in the light of available data in other n0.m compounds.  相似文献

An improved, simple and highly sensitive LC‐MS/MS method has been developed and validated for quantification of febuxostat with 100 μL human plasma using febuxostat‐d7 as an internal standard (IS) according to regulatory guidelines. The analyte and IS were extracted from human plasma via liquid–liquid extraction using diethyl ether. The chromatographic separation was achieved on a Zorbax C18 column using a mixture of acetonitrile and 5 mm ammonium formate (60:40, v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min. The total run time was 5.0 min and the elution of febuxostat and IS occurred at 1.0 and 1.5 min, respectively. A linear response function was established for the range of concentrations 1–6000 ng/mL (r > 0.99). The precursor to product ion transitions monitored for febuxostat and IS were m/z 317.1 → 261.1 and 324.2 → 262.1, respectively. The intra‐ and inter‐day precisions (%RSD) were within 1.29–9.19 and 2.85–7.69%, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to pharmacokinetic studies in humans. The synthetic standards for cysteine and valine adducts of sulphur mustard have been synthesized using 2-(2-chloroethylthio) ethanol (half-mustard). These adducts have been recognized as biomarkers for exposure to sulphur mustard.
